Carrollton is celebrating its tenth year of Robotics competition. The team has grown into a Nationally recognized program with a string of successes, the list below is a partial list of accomplishments in the last ten years.
December 2007 Only all girls team to compete at the Plymouth Invitational Robotics competition, awarded the prestigious Sportsmanship Trophy
April 2007 7th and 11th place nationally in "varsity" competition (120 lb class) 9th grade team finished as National Champions in the Task orientated contest.
January 2007 organizing a mentoring program with Pittsburg area girls teams to assist in first time Robot building
April 2006 helped co-host the National competition in Miami. Carrollton teams were featured on Miami Herald and local TV
April 2006 2nd place nationally in "varsity" competition (120 lb class) 9th grade team finished 4th nationally in "JV" (15 lb class)
February 2006 2nd place at Univ. of Miami Build it Contest also winning the outstanding engineering design award
February 2006 5th place at Univ. of Miami Regional Battle bots contest competing with our 9th graders only
September 2005 placed 3rd in a National Robotics invitational competition in Rochester NY
Summer 2005 for the third year in a row Carrollton students were the camp instructors for University of Miami's engineering camp
April 2005 Placed 11 Robots at Nationals in Orlando. The next largest team placed 3.
April 2004 Placed 8 robots at Nationals in Minnesota. Recognized as one top Robotics programs by Microsoft and DARPA
Feb. 2004 Carrollton Robotics team featured in John Hopkins University Magazine Imagine
Jan. 2004 2nd Place at Univ. of Miami Build it Contest
Nov. 2003 25th Place at National BEST Robotics Competition at Auburn University
Oct. 2003 2nd Place at State Competition BEST Robotics
Summer 2003 Featured at Robotics exhibit in Museum of Science
June 2002 Carrollton Robotics Team on the cover of John Hopkins magazine Imagine
April 2001 National Finalist at Battlebots IQ Rumble at Orlando Florida
