SUMMER AT CARROLLTON

During the summer, Carrollton was quite busy with a numerous activities taking place during June, July and August. In partnership with three organizations, Carrollton was host to several programs providing special opportunities for at-risk youth and talented students facing socio-economic barriers. These programs: Honey Shine Mentoring Program, Barnyard Summer Camp, and Breakthrough Miami made the Carrollton campus grounds their home for several weeks. The campus also enjoyed some renovations to facilities including a new faculty lounge in Taylor Hall, newly installed hurricane-proof windows in the Montessori cottages, and improvements to El Jardin.

Due to the popularity of Carrollton’s annual Summer Camp, this year’s “Around a Very Creative Green World” camp was extended to a six week program. Campers embarked on an innovative journey exploring dancing, singing, painting, swimming, and foreign languages.
