On Friday, February 26, Montessori, Primary, and Intermediate students welcomed their grandparents to the Duchesne and Barat campuses for the first annual Grandparent’s Day at Carrollton. Montessori grandparents enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, tour of their granddaughter’s classrooms, and activities with their grandchildren. Students of the Primary school attended a special mass held for them and their grandparents on the Barat green and enjoyed snacks and refreshments after the mass. Primary students also had the opportunity to give their grandparents special tours showing them their artwork displayed in Carrollton’s All School Art Show, located in the Jay Weiss Art Gallery and the Performing Arts Center of the Barry Building. The day concluded with an Intermediate school luncheon in El Jardin. Grandparents enjoyed a musical performance by 4th, 5th, and 6th graders and then proceeded to have a delicious lunch, tour of El Jardin and the surrounding grounds and a visit to the All School Art Show to view their granddaughters art pieces.
