After School Program
The After School Program is open to all girls, Montessori through Grade 8. The objective of the After School Program is to build an environment that adheres to the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education and to develop a dynamic atmosphere that stimulates learning in a fun and nourishing way.
Students in the After School Program can participate in:
Extended Day Care Program/Library Study Hall is a monitored quiet safe environment in which each student is allowed to concentrate on completing daily or weekly assignments. Students can work individually or in groups according to their needs. The After School Staff is present to answer and/or clarify questions that may arise as well as to ensure that students stay on task at all times. Once homework is completed students are encouraged and invited to participate in outdoor/indoor recreational activities, art projects, free play and mind games promoting harmonious group interaction and social time with classmates.
Enrichment Program reinforces, expands and enriches school curriculum. Courses and activities have been designed to actively engage students in a variety of activities to encourage social, emotional and academic growth. Students in the Enrichment Program participate in: arts and music, nutrition and fitness, drama and dance classes, chess, robotics and more.
After School Academic Program (ASAP) seeks to help all students in academics. The program focuses on math and reading concepts, study skills and homework help and promotes collaboration between the tutor and teacher.
The Developmental Sport Program is designed to introduce our students to the various sports that we offer at Carrollton. We focus on the individual skills required to participate and to be successful in a given sport. This program is an excellent opportunity for those who are interested in strengthening the skills necessary to compete. Sports include: Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Cross Country, Golf, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball.
