In light of COVID-19 protocols, Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart has decided to revise the admissions requirements for the 2021-2022 academic year. Admissions applications for 4th grade and up will be test-preferred rather than test-required. As articulated in our Goals and Criteria, Schools of the Sacred Heart commit themselves to educate to a deep respect for intellectual values. Carrollton has always based admissions decisions on a comprehensive and holistic evaluation of each applicant, not only taking into account the entrance exam, but also evaluating all of our requirements for admissions such as the interview of the applicant and her parents, the student writing sample, school recommendations, and transcripts.
The Admission Committee will accept ISEE, SSAT, SAT, PSAT or ACT for any applicant applying to Grades 4 and up. The Committee would prefer to evaluate a prospective student with standardized test scores but understand that for many the exam is not possible in the circumstances we are all currently facing.
