To sign up for a Showcase or a tour, register for an event, or apply for admissions, please create a Carrollton Admission Portal account here. We look forward to getting to know you and helping you learn more about Carrollton. We ask that you submit your application with consideration for the time required to test and interview your daughter and receive her records and recommendation forms. The Admissions Committee strongly recommends applying with enough time to ensure completion of the student’s admissions file.
The following items are required before the Admissions Committee can consider an applicant’s file complete:
- Application Form: Create a Carrollton Admissions Portal account and complete Steps 1-4, including an application fee of $125.
- Academic Records and Teacher Recommendations: Carrollton requires two recommendations (Principal and Teacher recommendations) and a progress report for the current and past years your daughter has been in a school which must be submitted electronically by the student’s school. The parents are responsible for requesting the recommendations through Carrollton’s Admissions Portal. The recommendations must be requested online. For recommendation submissions you will need the recommenders first and last name and email address.

Observation and Evaluation Day
Montessori Observation and Evaluation Examination: Applicants are scheduled for an individual and group observation and entrance exam. This child-friendly visit enables us to get to know your daughter while she enjoys our classroom settings. This visit combines directed activity and free time with one of our evaluators. Children vary greatly in their willingness to separate, and our expectations are flexible.

As articulated in our Goals and Criteria, Schools of the Sacred Heart commit themselves to educating to a deep respect for intellectual values. Carrollton has always based admissions decisions on a comprehensive and holistic evaluation of each applicant, not only considering the entrance exam but also evaluating all of our requirements for admissions, such as the interview, school recommendations, and transcripts. Students may take the exam at any of the locations where the exam is offered, but we strongly suggest those applying to Grades 4 & 5 take it at Carrollton. Please note that the ISEE exam offers students a secure, online, remotely proctored option that enables them to take the exam at a time convenient for their home schedules.

Barat Scholarship (Applicants to Grade 9 ONLY)
Barat Scholarship - Incoming Grade 9 students only
The Barat Scholarship is awarded to an exceptional applicant in Grade 9 who demonstrates high academic achievement and active involvement in her community. A Barat Scholar seeks to be inspired intellectually and to share her gifts and talents with the Carrollton community. Named for our foundress, Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat, this award honors students who, as Goal II states, demonstrate a deep respect for intellectual values. An Admissions Committee determines the scholarship recipients based on a holistic process that includes a review of grades and entrance exam scores (a combined average of 75th Percentile or above on the ISEE or SSAT subtests), supplemental essay responses, and a student interview. The Barat Scholarship grants a student $10,000 for each of her four years in grades 9 - 12 at Carrollton for a total of $40,000. This scholarship is available ONLY to students applying to Grade 9. All applicants must take either the ISEE or the SSAT.
