Admission Procedures: Late Applicants

Applications received after January 13, 2021 are considered late applicants. All late applicant files must be completed to be considered for rolling admissions. Interviews and entrance exams will only be administered if space becomes available. If space does not become available, the applicant may decide to roll the application over to the following admission season. All school records must then be updated with current information. Acceptance may be offered to a qualified late applicant.
The following items are required before the Admission Committee can consider an applicant’s file complete:

    • Application Form:
      • Grades M3 - 8: Online application form
      • Grades 9 and Above: Online application form

  • Academic Records including Standardized Test Scores and Teacher Recommendations: Carrollton requires three recommendations (Principal, Math and English Teacher recommendations) and records for the past 4 years your daughter has been in school which must be submitted electronically by the student’s current school, however, the parents are responsible for requesting the recommendations through PowerSchool.  The recommendations and records must be requested online.  You will need the recommender's first and last name, as well as their email addresses for recommendation submission.

Entrance Examination

If space becomes available and file is complete an individual test date will be scheduled with the Admissions Office.

In light of COVID-19 protocols, Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart has decided to revise the admissions requirements for the 2021-2022 academic year.  Admissions applications for 4th grade and up will be test-preferred rather than test-required.   As articulated in our Goals and CriteriaSchools of the Sacred Heart commit themselves to educate to a deep respect for intellectual values.  Carrollton has always based admissions decisions on a comprehensive and holistic evaluation of each applicant, not only taking into account the entrance exam, but also evaluating all of our requirements for admissions such as the interview of the applicant and her parents, the student writing sample, school recommendations, and transcripts.
The Admission Committee will accept ISEE, SSAT, SAT, PSAT or ACT for any applicant applying to Grades 4 and up.  The Committee would prefer to evaluate a prospective student with standardized test scores but understand that for many the exam is not possible in the circumstances we are all currently facing.

Carrollton will accept The Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) and/or the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). In response to the COVID-19 public health emergency, both ISEE and SSAT are offering families a secure, online, remotely proctored option that enables students to take the exams at a time that is convenient for their schedules at home.   Please click on the links below for more information about each of the exams and to register.

Interview Required

Academic/Family Interview:  If space becomes available, we will schedule the academic/family interview with one of the Directors. All Interviews are for both parents and applicant.
