Virtual Graduation for the Class of 2020

On Thursday, August 30th, the Carrollton community came together to virtually honor the graduating class of 2020. Surrounded by their family at home and friends on their screens, they recognized the many accomplishments and obstacles their class overcame. Although not the ideal celebration, the senior class inspired us with their resilience, courage and grace to accept the things they cannot change. The ceremony still included many essential components, like speeches delivered by senior class members, Daniela Rabassa and Josephine Williams, which you can read below, as well as new touches like the presentation of the Senior Awards. These awards are known as the Plaque Awards, which are distinct honors that are typically published in the graduation program. Here are the recipients:

Four Year Scholarship in Social Justice - Genevieve Barquet
Four Year Scholarship Award in Robotics, Engineering & Comp. Science - Alexandra Von der Goltz
The Natalie Papadam 2000 Carrollton Citizenship Award - Julia Sariol 
The Alumnae Award - Ana Garcia Velez
Janet Erskine Stuart Award for Academic Achievement - Natalia St. Hilaire-Brice
Philippine Duchesne Faculty Award - Khushi Saigal
St. Madeleine Sophie Barat Award for Academic Excellence - Gabriela Garity
