Carrollton Honors the Members of its Annual Fund Founders Society
The community of Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart gathered together to celebrate its successful efforts in raising funds towards the institution’s prior year’s Annual Giving.
At the start of the school year, the community of Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart gathered together to celebrate its successful efforts in raising funds towards the institution’s prior year’s Annual Giving. Held at the home of Carrollton School parents Alfonso and Miriam Macedo, the event honored the members of the Annual Fund Founders Society, whose leadership gifts play an integral role in supporting this essential drive.
From the Society’s foundation in 1800, education had to be excellent and profound enough to inspire people to rebuild, renew and transform society, wherever they lived. (Phil Kilroy, Madeleine Sophie Barat, a Life). By partnering with the school in service to the entire community, Annual Fund Founders offer the inspiration, example, and commitment that have helped make Carrollton an institution of excellence. Raised funds support the school’s need-based scholarship program (currently supporting 25 percent of students), professional development, and program growth.
Attended by more than 100 parents, grandparents, alumnae, trustees, administrators, and friends of Carrollton School, the evening itself was also a great success. In addition to the celebration of thanks for past support, new founders were welcomed to join. Head Master Olen Kalkus addressed the crowd in gratitude for their generosity, leadership, and partnership. He inspired the audience by sharing the school’s vision going forward.
