Aspiring Leaders Network Program

Congratulations to the Class of 2024

Yesterday marked a significant milestone at Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, as students, faculty, families, and friends gathered to celebrate the Upper School graduation of the Class of 2024. The ceremony, held at Church of the Little Flower, was a blend of joy, nostalgia, and hope for the future.

Autism Theatre Project

The Autism Theater Project, a non-profit production company and educational program for the youth in our community who are on the autism spectrum, was founded by Gena Sims over seven years ago.

Senior Seminar Series

Carrollton's Health and Wellness department coordinated a three-day Senior Seminar Series to help the Class of 2024 enter college prepared for challenges they might face as adults. The series gave them the knowledge to make well-informed decisions and made their experience much smoother!

Carrollton's 2023-2024 Cor Unum Award Recipients - Antonio "Tony" and Conchi Argiz, Armando and Margarita Codina, Miguel "Mike" and Constance Fernandez, Nelson and Consuelo Rodriguez, Suzanne Cooke, RSCJ, and Ann Taylor, RSCJ.

On May 16, 2024, Carrollton hosted its Founders Thank You Reception, honoring those donors who give at the leadership level of $1,961 (the year Carrollton was founded) or above as members of Carrollton’s Founders Society.

Watershed Action Lab presents to Carrollton's Grade 4 students on their Oyster Restoration Project.

Grade 4 had the opportunity to hear from Tico Aran, founder of the Watershed Action Lab, on the Oyster Restoration Project.

Raphael Bastian SH'83, Chair of Carrollton's Board of Trustees

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Raphael Bastian SH‘83, P‘16, ‘18, Carrollton’s Chair of the Board of Trustees. Raphael passed away on April 23, after a brief illness.

Visiting Artist Workshop - Reynier Llanes

Carrollton had the pleasure of hosting Cuban-American artist Reynier Llanes for a Visiting Author Workshop with students in the Upper School and Grades 4-6.

Curriculum, Coffee, and Community: Brewing the Future

Curriculum and programming are hot topics at Carrollton, and what better way to learn about them than over a freshly brewed cup of coffee and a pastelito (or two), all while building community amongst the adult members of Carrollton’s Upper School.

Celebrate 2024

Celebrate 2024 was a terrific success thanks to our Carrollton community!  For the second year in a row, tickets were sold out.

Congratulations to Fernanda Carrion '28 and Catalina Folmer '28 on being the recipients of this year's Barat Merit Scholarship!

Isabela Delgado '24 IGCS STEM Fellowship Program

Over the last four years, Isabela Delgado '24 has had the opportunity to participate in the Hafize Gaye Erkan First Republic Fellowship Program, which IGCS and First Republic Bank started in 2020. 

Carrollton Environmental/Sustainable Building Project

Freshmen students enrolled in Honors Geometry classes taught by Mrs. MaryAnne Hejna collaborated with their student coaches in Mrs. Thais de Leon-Perez’s ‘91 AT Stem Entrepreneurship class to devise innovative architectural concepts. These building designs had the flexibility to be situated anywhere in downtown Miami and were required to incorporate sustainable and eco-friendly elements.

Carrollton's Community Mass on September 24, 2023 to celebrate the first month of school.

Carrollton is happy to be hosting Community Masses once again. Yesterday was the first Mass of the 2023-2024 Academic Year, and it was wonderful to see the Convocation Center overflowing with all constituents of our community. 

The entire school community gathered to celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit.

Last week, we celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit, a tradition in Catholic schools and universities around the world. We open the new school year by inviting the Holy Spirit to fill us with wisdom and grace.

Summer 2023 Immersion Trips

At the beginning of summer vacation, three groups of Carrollton students, faculty, and even some parents, traveled abroad to different countries for their Immersion Trips. This program gives students the opportunity to learn more about the languages and cultures they have been studying here at Carrollton.

Breakthrough Miami's Summer Institute

During the six-week program, Breakthrough Scholars prepared for their upcoming school year with engaging classes in all core subjects. When they weren't in academic spaces, scholars were having a Breakalicious time during special events and in their elective classes, such as basketball and yoga.
