Although her official feast day falls on Sunday, May 25, today Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart came together as one united Sacred Heart community to joyfully celebrate the Feast of our foundress, St. Madeleine Sophie Barat.

In a spirit of deep gratitude and faith, students, faculty, staff, and families gathered for a special Mass honoring the woman whose vision continues to shape our mission more than two centuries later.

This year’s celebration carried even deeper meaning as we marked the 100-year anniversary of St. Madeleine Sophie's canonization. In honor of this historic milestone, Carrollton was solemnly consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, reaffirming our school’s commitment to the love and mission that St. Madeleine Sophie embodied so powerfully. This sacred act was a reminder that our foundation is rooted not only in academic excellence but also in a deep and abiding love for God and one another.

Surrounded by the prayers of the community, we also extended a heartfelt blessing to our senior class, the Class of 2025, as they prepare to graduate and carry the values of Sacred Heart education into the world.

Today was a beautiful testimony to the enduring spirit of St. Madeleine Sophie and the vibrant life of the Sacred Heart at Carrollton. Her legacy lives on in every student, teacher, and alumna who seeks to transform the world through love, wisdom, and faith.
