Carrollton Community Fest 2025

Carrollton Community Fest 2025

Formerly known as the Fall Family Festival, this year’s newly renamed Community Fest welcomed families, students, faculty, staff, and alumnae back to campus with fresh energy, exciting rides, and an array of incredible food vendors.

The event brought a renewed vibrancy while honoring the longstanding tradition of gathering as one Carrollton community.

The day began at the Mater Admirabilis Chapel with the Community Mass, where Head of School Mrs. Gillingham-Rivas ’94 reminded us that “community is a choice.” In her reflection, she spoke of the intentionality behind the way Sacred Heart communities grow, through listening, connecting, and choosing one another with “gratitude, humility, and love.” As families made their way to the Barat Campus for the festivities that followed, her message shaped the spirit of the day: community as something we build, protect, and celebrate together.

Community Fest came to life thanks to the many hands that worked behind the scenes. Our dedicated Maintenance and Staff teams prepared the campus in the days leading up to the festival and worked late into the night to take everything down. Faculty, staff, and parent volunteers brought the event to life—from coordinating activities to welcoming families throughout the day.

The celebration was coordinated by Carrollton’s Advancement Office in partnership with the Parent Council, whose collaboration helped create a joyful, welcoming experience for all.

As families enjoyed rides, games, food, and time together, the event reflected what Mrs. Gillingham-Rivas described: a community that does not simply share a space, but chooses to accompany one another. This year’s Community Fest truly lived up to its new name—a celebration of who we are and what we build together at Carrollton.
