Carrollton Students Gain Real-World Insight at Ernst & Young
  • Upper School

Carrollton students had the opportunity to step into the world of global business today during a visit to Ernst & Young (EY), where they were welcomed for an immersive and thoughtfully curated experience.

The visit was organized by Carrollton alumnae Vanessa Hernandez ’18 and Nathalie Fuentes ’18, whose leadership and dedication created a meaningful bridge between the Carrollton classroom and the professional world. Through their efforts, students were able to experience firsthand what collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership look like in a real corporate setting.

A highlight of the day was a guest panel featuring Cristina O’Naghten ’81 and Beatriz Taboas ’02, who generously shared insights from their professional journeys. Their reflections on career development, adaptability, and purpose offered students a powerful perspective on the many paths available to them, and the enduring impact of a Sacred Heart education.

Students also collaborated with representatives from InterStock, who joined the tour and guided students through a hands-on case study. Working in teams, students applied critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills to address real-world challenges, gaining practical experience and confidence in their abilities.

The visit to Ernst & Young exemplified Carrollton’s commitment to experiential learning and alumnae engagement, showing students how the values they cultivate in the classroom can be lived out in professional and global contexts.
