This week, over 500 Sacred Heart Network community members gathered for the Sacred Heart Summit, an inspiring intergenerational learning and action conference for the global Sacred Heart family.
Educators, students from Grades 8-12, Religious of the Sacred Heart, young alumnae and alumni, and mission partners came together to share knowledge, foster connections, and ignite a passion for action. Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart was proud to be represented by 35 members at this remarkable event!
At the end of the summit, students from each school presented their action plans inspired by the conference and aimed at creating positive change within their school communities. Carrollton's action plan focuses on our beautiful location on Biscayne Bay, calling for a social media awareness campaign highlighting how we are stewards of our environment and demonstrating our responsible and proactive use of access to the water. We will also be re-envisioning existing events, such as chapel morning worship sessions with the Campus Ministry, to take place on the bay, fostering a deeper connection with nature, God, and our mission.
