This fall, Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart hosted three students from the Sacred Heart Network Exchange Program: Lola Rubio and Daniela Casamor from Sagrado Corazon Rosales in Madrid, Spain, and Hermeline Loquet from Institution Marmoutier in France. Part of a 40-year tradition connecting Sacred Heart students worldwide, the program fosters cultural exchange, global awareness, and lifelong friendships.
Lola's Highlights
Hosted by Isa Prado's family, Lola loved experiencing Halloween at Carrollton, especially wearing themed costumes and joining in the school games. Despite the different schedules, Lola felt welcomed, saying, “Everyone made it so easy to become part of the grade.” She noted differences like dinner as the main meal, and while adjusting to weekly tests was new, she appreciated how teachers make things manageable.
Daniela’s Journey
Daniela, hosted by Alexandra Coto's family, found joy in Carrollton’s traditions, like the Dig Pink event, and embraced cultural shifts, from earlier dinners to using technology daily in class, which she saw as great preparation for the future. Practicing her English and connecting with Carrollton’s international community made her time in Miami unforgettable.
Hermeline’s Firsts
Hermeline, hosted by Julia Kleszczewski's family, attended her first school sports game and was surprised by how tech-centered U.S. classrooms are. She enjoyed how technology enhances efficiency and prepares students for real-world skills.
Now, our students Isa '28, Alexandra '27, and Julia '27 are visiting Spain and France, and we look forward to sharing their exchange experiences soon! These experiences highlight the rich, interconnected community Sacred Heart schools nurture, connecting students across borders and creating lasting memories.
