Celebrating National Girls & Women in Sports Day

Wearing their favorite sports gear, students and faculty showed their pride and support for the strength, dedication, and achievements of girls and women in sports.

As part of the celebration, our student-athletes created a special video to showcase their love for sports, the lessons they’ve learned, and the impact athletics has had on their lives.

We are especially grateful to Veronica Alvarez ’01, a distinguished alumna and trailblazer in women’s baseball, for sharing an inspiring video message with our students. Her words of encouragement reminded our girls of the resilience, passion, and leadership that sports cultivate—lessons that extend far beyond the field, court, or track.

At Carrollton, we take pride in empowering young women to excel in athletics and all aspects of life. This celebration was a testament to the unity, spirit, and unwavering support that define our community.

Come cheer on the Varsity Basketball team as they take on the Pine Crest Panthers in the Regional Semifinals on Tuesday, February 18, at 5:00 p.m. in Carrollton’s Wellness Center. Tickets must be purchased to attend. Let’s pack the stands and show our Cyclone spirit! Go Cyclones!
