This weekend, Carrollton’s athletes made history at the FHSAA State Championships, showcasing their talent, determination, and team spirit.
Cross Country Team Makes History
The varsity cross-country team finished in 4th place, marking a strong team performance at the State meet! Leading the charge was Grace Aldrich ‘25, who achieved a 2nd-place finish and earned the title of State Runner-Up—the highest individual placement in school history. Daniela Hernandez ‘27 also delivered an incredible performance, finishing 8th and receiving All-State honors.

Swimming and Diving Team Makes Waves
The varsity swimming and diving team also shone brightly at the State Championships.
- Isabelle Wilson ‘25 secured 7th place in the 500 freestyle and 13th place in the 200 freestyle, delivering outstanding individual performances.
- The 400 freestyle relay team—Olivia Arriete ‘28, Evelyn Bussey ‘28, Mila Fanjul ‘25, and Isabelle Wilson ‘25—finished 14th, highlighting the power of teamwork.
- In diving, Nicolette Xydas ‘25 earned a strong 10th-place finish, showcasing her precision and skill.
