We are thrilled to celebrate an incredible achievement by Carrollton senior Grace Aldrich '25, who has been named Dade Girls’ Cross-Country Runner of the Year!
This season, Grace showcased exceptional talent and determination, achieving a remarkable milestone as the state runner-up in the Class 2A meet. She clocked a personal best time of 18:13.6, along with a strong 8th-place finish by sophomore Daniela Hernandez, leading the Cyclones to an impressive 4th-place team finish at the state level.
Grace’s outstanding season is a testament to her hard work and dedication, as well as the unwavering support and expert coaching of Ross “Dylan” Hermelee, who was also honored as Dade Cross-Country Coach of the Year. Under Coach Hermelee’s guidance, the Cyclones reached new heights this season, with Grace’s standout performance complemented by the collective efforts of her talented teammates. Together, they paved the way for a bright future for Carrollton cross-country.
We couldn’t be more proud of Grace and Coach Hermelee for their incredible accomplishments. Grace is now set to continue her journey at Boston College, a family tradition as both of her parents are alumni. Their achievements reflect the spirit of excellence and teamwork that define our community.
