On the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, Carrollton paused to honor, remember, pray, and reflect

As part of Upper School's Sacred Space assembly, members of the Upper School Social Studies Honor Society and Digital Storytelling Club shared a video they created featuring interviews with Carrollton faculty and staff who were working or attending school on that day.

Through their personal stories, our students captured what that day was like, and scross each interview, a common thread emerged: the power of prayer and community.

We are grateful to our students for preserving these stories and helping our community remember through the voices of our own Carrollton family.

Students in Grades 1-6 participated in prayer services, where they recognized and prayed for family members in our community who serve as first responders. Students also placed flags throughout campus, each carrying messages of prayer, hope, and remembrance.

Together, these moments offered our students an opportunity to reflect on the importance of compassion, service, faith, and community.

Twenty-five years later, we remember.
