Kino Border Initiative | A Mini Sessions Experience

Kino Border Initiative | A Mini Sessions Experience
  • Upper School

In February, during Upper School Mini Sessions, seven students and two chaperones will travel with the Kino Border Initiative, a faith-based organization providing humanitarian aid and advocacy for migrants on the U.S.-Mexico border.

This trip will give students the opportunity to learn firsthand about the challenges migrants face, serve those in need, and immerse themselves in a new culture, deepening their understanding of human dignity and social responsibility.

In connection with Catholic Schools Week, January 25-31, whose theme is “United in Faith and Community,” our Upper School is highlighting service of community by hosting a grade-level fundraising competition. This initiative allows the students participating the opportunity to educate their community about the Kino Border Initiative while inviting everyone to support this transformative experience through donations or sponsorships.

We are grateful for a community that comes together in faith and service to help our students make a difference, and we invite you to learn more and partner with us in supporting this meaningful mission.

If you have questions or what to know how you can support our students, please contact Mrs. Carmen Santamaria at csantamaria@carrollton.org or Ms. Alex Dugarte at adugarte@carrollton.org.
