  • Upper School

This week, Carrollton’s Class of 2024 participated in Senior Seminar, a dynamic and enriching series of sessions designed to equip our seniors with practical tools, knowledge, and insights for the journey ahead.

From self-defense to personal finance, the seminar empowered students to navigate college life with confidence and intention.

Throughout the week, students explored a wide range of topics, thanks to our incredible lineup of guest speakers and alumnae:

  • Nutrition in College with Carla Dueñas, MS, RDN, Health and Performance Dietitian

  • Women’s Health with Dr. Dibe Martin, MD, FACOG and Mrs. Santamaria

  • Safety, Situational Awareness, and Self-Defense with AKIMO (American Israeli Krav Maga Organization) and Lila Mosse from Fearless Future

  • A Journey from Hazing to Compassionate Leadership with Flavia Tomasello from the Antonio Tsialas Leadership Foundation

  • Professional Resume Writing and LinkedIn with Carolina Hassun ’19

  • Personal Finance Workshop (budgeting, saving, credit card debt, investing) with Ana Tarpey from Simulation Education Tools

  • College Health and Wellness presented by Carrollton’s dedicated nursing staff

A heartfelt highlight was the “Adjusting to Your First Year in College” panel, featuring recent graduates who returned to share personal stories and practical advice. Thank you to Eloise Huck, Andrea Lopez, Natalia James, Gabriella Cannavo, Kaysi Crook, and Andrea Montaner for your generosity and honesty.

To conclude the week, the Alumnae Council presented each senior with a thoughtful senior gift, along with special “lifer” gifts to those who have been part of the Sacred Heart community since early childhood.

Senior Seminar reflects Carrollton’s mission to form courageous women of faith, intellect, compassion, and action. We are so proud of the Class of 2024 and grateful to all who helped make this week a success.
