Today, the Carrollton community gathered in unity with Sacred Heart schools across the United States and Canada to celebrate a momentous milestone—the 50th Anniversary Closing Prayer Service of the Network of Sacred Heart Schools.

The service was livestreamed from the RSCJ Retirement Community at Oakwood, California, where many Religious of the Sacred Heart reside. It was a fitting location to conclude the celebration, as these women have dedicated their lives to bringing Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat’s vision to life.

This day held added meaning as it marked the birthday of Sr. Catherine "Kit" Collins, RSCJ, a beloved educator and visionary who deeply understood that education is a sacred journey toward discovering our identity as God’s beloved. Her legacy continues to inspire generations of students and educators to live with purpose, compassion, and hope.

As we honored the past and looked toward the future, we were reminded that Sophie's dream—to form hearts united in the Heart of Christ—continues to flourish in every Sacred Heart school, every classroom, and every life touched by this mission.
