- Upper School
At the beginning of summer vacation, three groups of Carrollton students, faculty, and even some parents, traveled abroad to different countries for their Immersion Trips. This program gives students the opportunity to learn more about the languages and cultures they have been studying here at Carrollton.
85 students visited Spain, where they took culinary classes and visited landmarks, museums, and churches. 27 students visited Taiwan, where they went on excursions to onion farms, temples, and landmarks. They also took classes at our sister school, Sacred Heart School for Girls in New Tapei City, like calligraphy, traditional music, and cultural group conversations. Four students visited France, where our foundress established the Society of the Sacred Heart. They toured not only landmarks like the Eiffel Tower but also Sacred Heart treasures, like St. Madeleine Sophie's shrine.
Because of the lapse in programming during the COVID-19 pandemic, Carrollton was excited to offer our students this opportunity once again, and we look forward to the many academic adventures ahead!
