While our students were away enjoying a well-earned summer break, there was plenty happening behind the scenes at Carrollton. From campus improvements and technology updates to summer programs and community activity, the past few months have been a season of preparation, progress, and anticipation for the year ahead

Summer provides an important opportunity to care for and improve the spaces our community calls home. Work continued on the historic restoration of several treasured campus buildings, helping preserve the architectural character and history that make Carrollton unique.

The Barry Building and Cooke Hall also received fresh coats of paint, giving familiar spaces a renewed look as we prepare to welcome students back to campus.

Another major project underway this summer was Carrollton’s transition from Blackbaud to Veracross. Bringing student, financial, and family information together in one system will help create a more streamlined experience for our families and strengthen the way information moves across our school.

Of course, summer at Carrollton wasn’t all projects and preparation. Our campus continued to be a gathering place throughout the season, welcoming campers, community partners, visitors, and others through our gates.

This summer marked an especially exciting milestone as Carrollton prepares to celebrate its 65th anniversary. Throughout the coming school year, we’ll be reflecting on the people, traditions, places, and experiences that have shaped our community over the past six and a half decades, and looking ahead to the stories still waiting to be written.

Now, as we get ready to welcome our students back, the campus is taking on its familiar energy once again. Classrooms are being prepared, spaces are being refreshed, and countless details are coming together behind the scenes.
