Community Service
Goal III: Social awareness that impels to action
Criterion 7: Sacred Heart educators work to develop in the students a life-long commitment to service
In the spirit of the Goals and Criteria, particularly Goal III , Carrollton has a strong commitment to service and social justice that stems from social awareness and fostering authentic relationships in the community.
We believe that service fosters a deep sense of connection and empathy for God’s creation that is at the core of our Catholic identity and the Church’s social teaching. Selfless dedication and acts of service are foundational to Christian living, and they find their greatest expression in Jesus' teachings on the Corporal Works of Mercy.
These works serve as an exemplary model for our service efforts. Inspired by the loving Sacred Heart of Jesus, we are called to honor the dignity of all human beings, protect the environment, and work towards unity, peace, and compassion in the world.

Criterion 3: The school, drawing from Catholic Social Teaching, educates students to analyze and work to eradicate social structures, practices, systems and values that perpetuate racism and other injustices.
Service-Learning Program

Our Service-Learning Program, Goal III QUEST, is designed to cultivate a profound and lasting commitment to service that focuses on addressing pressing social issues and communities in need. Rooted in the belief that true service extends beyond mere participation, this project-based model challenges each student to reflect deeply on their unique talents and discern where God calls them to serve.

on the local, national, and global level.
3-Category Model
Inspired by the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we encourage our students to serve with an open heart engaging in service on the local, national and global level. Our 3-category model is structured to help students develop as active global citizens across different scales from their immediate community and out into the wider world. This approach emphasizes breadth, depth and intentionality as they work towards completing their service goals.
