Important Information Regarding Summer Programs

At Carrollton, we are committed to the health and well-being of our community. The Carrollton campus is currently closed until further notice. Decisions regarding camp operations will be made in conjunction with our school re-opening. Once a decision is made on the status of opening our school facility, information regarding our summer programs will be made and further information will be posted on our website and social media pages. For now, we urge you to follow the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization and practice social distancing. A complete refund will be offered in the event that our in-person summer camp is canceled.

We have created several Virtual Camp options with our trusted partners. These camps will offer children 2nd through 3rd  a combination of self-paced learning with live online classes. With the highest quality in remote instruction, campers will unlock their brilliance and create and participate in exciting new projects every week. Registration for Carrollton’s Virtual Camps opens on June 1st. Please review our flyer for more information. If you have any questions please contact our Summer Programs Director at ddelvalle@carrollton.org.

Summer Academic Preparation

Summer is a wonderful time for students to play, pray, rest, read and spend time with families; to provide some ‘down’ time. We are certain that your summer plans will include enriching learning activities for your daughters. Below is a summer reading list with suggested books for your daughter to enjoy over the summer.

In the summer, many skills that children have learned throughout the school year can be forgotten. It is often referred to as summer learning loss, proving that these skills must be practiced. It is our hope, that during summer, our students will continue to practice the skills introduced, developed and even those mastered throughout the school year.

This summer we are asking students to continue this practice by working individually or by using various online resources using the link provided above.

Mentor Program

The Mentor Program is a program to help new families (Mentees) in adjusting to life at Carrollton.  The program is set up to help pass along the special heritage of Sacred Heart, the importance of the Goals and Criteria, and what it means to be part of our family.  We have two wonderful parents who will be our Mentor Liaisons, Marisol Hidalgo for Grades 7-12, and Michelle Berio Calderin for Grades M3-6.  Their job is to ensure that the families connect and share with the Mentors on the happenings at the school.  Mentors will be assigned in May with intentions that they reach out to the Mentees before summer.
